Need a way to keep people in your Discord server notified when you start streaming, but don't like how many permissions you need to grant the various bots in order to do so? Looking for a bit more room for customisation, or even just in need of a faster solution? Check out my alerts API below!
If you like what you see and are in the market for a graduate software developer with six years of experience, feel free to contact me with any job offers.
I specialise in a variety of scripting and programming languages, from SQL to JavaScript and everything in between!
Get Started!Interested in using my Twitch alerts API for Discord?
Unlike most existing Twitch alerts systems, this gets alerts directly from Twitch instead of having to check periodically, cutting out any unnecessary wait times.
Unlike a bot that can read your Discord messages, this uses webhooks, which are a strictly one-way system. It can only send messages, not read them.
Every aspect of the alert, from the message sent when you start streaming to the layout of the attached embed, can be customised on request.
Switch games often? The API sends additional alerts when you change games so your followers always know what you're up to at a glance.
I have some other functions in the works, such as YouTube integration, which is in a very early alpha state, but the Twitch integration works perfectly. I'm also considering Twitter integration at a later date, too.
If this sounds like something you're interested in, my contact information can be found here. Please include your Twitch username and contact details, and I'll see what I can do!
Interested in the inner workings of the bot? A basic status page with stream embeds for active users is available here!
Need to get in touch with me? Drop me a message or send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
All of my software is currently provided free of charge, but if you're looking for a way to compensate me for my work, please consider donating via my ko-fi page to help keep me afloat. I'm between programming jobs right now, so it'd be much appreciated.
